Deliverability Analyst
Opportunity:
The Deliverability Analyst will embrace the challenge of being engaged on business critical activity for our clients and prospects, which include many of the leading companies in various industries.
The provider of the premier platform for online direct marketing is seeking an experienced Deliverability Analyst to support the company’s national and international client base and our deliverability team.

Responsibilities:

In this position, the Deliverability Analyst will execute on the technical aspects of managing, testing and monitoring delivery for permission based Email Marketing campaigns. 
This person will have growth opportunities to drive cross functional initiatives and work strategically in areas of Deliverability Consulting Services. This person will work to manage his/her time such that he/she will drive projects to monitor and test for the successful delivery of clients campaigns as part of the Deliverability ISP relations team. This position will work side-by-side with Sr. roles within Strategic Account teams, Professional Services Organization as well as customers to help them define and implement best practice email programs that meet their business needs and ultimately improve deliverability. This position will also work closely with the technical support team, operations, product marketing, production engineering and the Director of Deliverability to help resolve client specific issues with regard to authentication compliance, reputation programs, non-delivery or junk/spam folder delivery.  

Objectives and responsibilities specific to deliverability:
·         Utilize the technological tools and manual solutions provided to monitor client e-mail marketing campaigns to proactively identify problems.
·         Investigate and measure client specific and sometimes campaign specific performance relative to recipient complaints, bounces and email placement tracking. Communicate results back internally as part of our issue identification and resolution process.
·         Maintain credibility and white listing status with the level one postmasters’ desks at ISP’s. Establish an understanding and maintain a knowledge base of protocol, ISP protocol and IP address processes etc.
·         Proactively communicate and educate clients and prospects of our company position and policies to enable clients to create and execute campaigns that support best practices.
·         Have a basic understanding of state and federal legislation relative to “Anti-SPAM” and communicate as needed to colleagues and clients.
·         Establish an understanding and knowledge of spam filtering technologies and how our clients email delivery is impacted by them. 
·         Aid Operations/Support in responding to, investigating and processing  to non-standard “remove requests” and/or “abuse complaints” generated by client campaigns.
·         Provide strong leadership to drive cross-functional initiatives by thoughtful planning, attention to detail and client centric follow through.
Requirements:
·         Basic understanding and ability to learn technical infrastructure as it relates to email deliverability in order to lead the projects and trouble-shooting tickets.

·         Ability to meet tight deadlines using strong multitasking, prioritization, and organizational skills
·         Team player who is comfortable with self-direction
·         Bachelor’s Degree / Marketing or Computer science
·         Knowledge of HTML, SMTP, DNS is a plus
Experience:
The qualified candidate should have at least 1-2 years of experience managing internet related and technical projects. Previous experience in ISPs, deliverability, software consulting, and/or professional services preferred.  Excellent verbal and written communication skills are required
Reporting Relationship:
The Deliverability Analyst will report to the Deliverability Director.
